On Friday, May 25th, Matthew Crouch failed to present for his scheduled deposition. His attorney, Coates called Mr. Quisenberry on the 23rd and said "He is out of the country and cannot attend." The thrust of his responses to questions in deposition was that he did not know (or admit to know) very much. Seems his father makes most all the decisions over there. He was more than a little confused over dates, people involved, even the existance of any contracts for services used to produce the film, costs, revenue, etc., etc. A draft letter found (trash-run discovery) in Matt's own handwriting, soliciting investors for another project, refers to the "tens of millions of unreported earnings made by TBN" out of their investment in The Omega Code movie. The letter goes on to say "he had no enthusiasm for the project handed to him by TBN". This link will open the document above referenced. Read it for yourself. COMMENTARY If you followed the copyright infringment lawsuit and read between the lines in all the testimony you can figure out that Paul Crouch (Executive Producer) borrowed millions from TBN (where Paul Crouch is CEO), in the end Paul Crouch, Producer, was "only able to repay $1.2 million of the loan, so the balance was forgiven by the lender, TBN, you guessed it, Paul Crouch. In the midst of the hype about the success of the movie, with money rolling in, not repaid to TBN, rather Matthew bought Hanna-Barbera Studios, a mansion in Hollywood Hills, a villa in Rome and a Rolls Royce for Laura. Incorporated Gen8, took it public to raise more money, etc. No wonder they could not pay back the "loan". All this is hardly sound or wise use of "donor funds" no matter which "account" they were taken from.
